Submission Instructions

Article submission is an iterative and collaborative process. To begin, send us a concise summary of your idea, along with a brief outline showing the structure of the article you propose.

A sample outline is provided below based on this article:

1. Women are leaving their jobs at the highest rate ever.

  • McKinsey & Co. data shows women are leaving their jobs at a much higher rate than men leaders.
  • Women are still dramatically underrepresented in leadership roles.

2. Reasons for leaving.

  • Mercer research revealed women are concerned about pay and promotion, and challenges with work and work-life integration.
  • Burnout and pay and other issues are why women are leaving their jobs.
  • Even with the increase of remote and hybrid work, challenges still arise for women.

3.  Develop women leaders.

  • Companies should be intentional about communicating their diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) efforts across the organization.
  • Women benefit from having a strong network of other women, inside or outside of their organizations.
  • For women of color, LGBTQ+ women and women with disabilities, it’s imperative that organizations prioritize equity and inclusivity for all women.

4. Looking ahead.

  • Mercer’s research showed that most CEOs and CFOs are gearing up for growth this year, yet talent shortages are a huge concern.
  • Research shows that organizations that prioritize advancing women to top leadership roles have better bottom-line business outcomes.
